“John Paul is able to elicit the almost indescribable excitement and groove associated with the jazz organ.”  –Pete Fallico KCSM FM91

“John-paul Gard is a master of 60s hammond organ Chops” – Tony Benjamin, Venue

Bristol based John-paul Gard started playing Hammond organ at the age of 10 and since then has developed his own distinctive style – heavily influenced by Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff and Joey DeFrancesco. Recently John-paul joined the Jon Dalton Organ Trio based in Venice Beach USA and has released the album “Warm ghosts in a Cold World” .

John-Paul studied music composition at Coventry University and had personal tuition tuition from Jason Rebello, Dave Buxton, Jonathan Taylor and Phil De Greg. During his studies, he had a placement at the World-renowned Berklee Music College, USA. John-Paul has had endorsements with Hammond Germany, KEYB Organ Group, and Studio Logic, Suzuki Pianos. He is currently endorsed by Roland, Electro Harmonix, Focusrite/Adam Audio and Ketron products.

Jean Paul is quite a phenomenal player using a vast array of digital musical instruments to produce some breath taking performances.  His music has his own style and flair intertwined with some of the influences of the organ industry greats from back in the day.   It’s an ability, in the correct musical hands such as Jean Paul’s, to conjour up some wonderful sounds and blend them with his great  arrangements from the titles of the great American song book is quite simply, sublime!

JPG is supported by Pete Cater on drums “A gifted and versatile drummer, at home in any context”, (Rough Guide To Jazz)
