Brecon Cathedral is delighted to announce this season's summer concert series. There is a diverse line up of concerts every Friday at 1pm from the start of May 2025 until the end of August. They are free to attend too. What a lovely way to spend your lunch hour.

Summer Show at Found Gallery
Found Gallery will open their summer show on 6th August 2025 with a brand new exhibition of artwork from a variety of Artists and Makers. There will be live music performances throughout Brecon Jazz and Fringe Festival 2025.

The MWR&BC Presents Blues Hall of Fame Inductee Dave Speight with sga Blues Maestro Jonathan Nicholas
The MWR&BC Presents Blues Hall of Fame Inductee Dave Speight. He has played the Blues for nearly 60 years and is described by Blues in Britain as a “national treasure”.

The Fabulous Red Diesel Band
Their refreshing take on soul has been lauded by fans and tastemakers alike. Having released their 8th studio album, Goddess the Seahorse in 2024, and a new live album in 2025, they are fast becoming one of the most talked about bands on the circuit with Streisand/Kitt style vocals, beautiful original songs, and sublime arrangements.

Coldplace - The World's Leading Tribute to Coldplay is a stunning live concert performance, celebrating the music of one of the most successful bands of all time. The only tribute to have worked for Coldplay, this outstanding band leads you through all your favourite Coldplay hits from the last 20+ years including Yellow, Paradise and A Sky full of Stars, right through to Higher Power and My Universe from their latest album, Music of the Spheres.

An Evening with Jonathan Davies
Ad/Lib Cymru are thrilled to be bringing this special evening to Theatr Brycheiniog. Without doubt Jonathan Davies in one of the biggest names in the history of Welsh rugby. He played in the 1980s and 1990s, and represented Wales in both rugby union and rugby league. A goal-kicking backline player, he played his club rugby in Wales, England and Australia. Davies has since become a television commentator.

Brecknock Sinfonia Concert
Brecknock Sinfonia is a first class Orchestra for Brecon and the surrounding district. The orchestra is a blend of professional players, instrumental teachers, and talented amateurs from across South Wales and the Marches. They come together for four concerts a year, this concert is held in Brecon Cathedral.

Flamenco Origenes

Austen's Women: LADY SUSAN

Valley Rock Voices
Valley Rock Voices is a dynamic women’s choir based in Neath, Wales, founded in 2016 by Cerys Llewellyn-Bevan. What began with 12 friends seeking solace and joy through music has blossomed into an ensemble of over 200 women, aged between 21 and 80. The choir’s repertoire is eclectic, featuring songs by artists such as the Bee Gees, The Killers, Katy Perry, Primal Scream, and even incorporating elements from rapper Stormzy.

Brecon Baroque Festival 2025
It’s nearly 20 years since the launch of Brecon Baroque Festival and still it grows and thrives in the lovely setting of the Brecon Beacons National Park. There is a wonderful extensive line up this year to be enjoyed.

Remembrance 2025
Remembrance commemorates the service members who have died in wars and military conflicts since the onset of World War I. Held at the Cenotaph in Brecon Town Centre, followed by a service of Remembrance at Brecon Cathedral on Sunday 9th November 2025.

Brecon Jazz Festival 2025
Brecon Jazz quickly grew to include concert venues as well as music on the streets, attracting international musicians as well as thousands of visitors. It is said that anyone well known in the jazz world has played Brecon Jazz. Brecon Jazz Weekend 2025 will be held 8th - 10th August 2025.

Floyd UK
Coming to Theatr Brycheiniog - some of the best musicians in the UK who have the talent and desire to replicate the music of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon album “LIVE” in the greatest detail possible to mark the albums 50th Anniversary. The Rest of Our Lives
Hopefully hopeful, The Rest of Our Lives is a joyful dose of dance, theatre, circus and games. A cabaret of life and near death. Two middle-aged lives in an eclectic, spontaneous, predictable and random decline. Jo is an old dancer, George an old clown. International artists with 100 years of life experience between them, armed with a soundtrack of floor-fillers, a book of raffle tickets and a sprinkling of eco-friendly optimism. Festival Finale: Only Boys Aloud Academi
Hear the final concert of the 2025 Brecon Choir Festival at Brecon Cathedral as the junior chorus of Only Boys Aloud present their show after a week long course held in Brecon. Expect a variety of choral music from traditional male voice choir repertoire and classical favourites to musical theatre showstoppers.

Grand Concert: BBC National Chorus of Wales sing Carmina Burana
A Brecon Choir Festival Highlight, The Grand Concert features Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, performed by the BBC National Chorus of Wales in the majestic Brecon Cathedral. Featuring its iconic opening, O Fortuna, this spellbinding work blends ancient pagan poetry with thrilling music.

Voices from the Valley
A concert that is part of Brecon Choir Festival. Experience the unmatched power and passion of Welsh male voice choirs in an unforgettable evening featuring the internationally renowned Pendyrus Male Choir and local favourites, Aberhonddu & District Male Choir. The choirs will be joined by soloists from the Festival.

“Look, Look, Look...” M E Eldridge Exhibition at Found
“Look, look, look at the detail” was the mantra of this London artist and teacher Miss Eldridge. Exhibiting in London galleries before the second world war, she then turned to illustrating children’s books. In the 50’s she created her Masterwork The Dance of Life over 100 feet in length! In the 60s through to her death in 1991, she turned herself to the fine detail of botanical and ornithological paintings. Works to be exhibited at Found Gallery, Brecon.

MWR&BC presents Misty Blues Live at The Muse
2019 International Blues Challenge finalist, Misty Blues, is led by lead singer/band founder Gina Coleman. The band is based out of Berkshire County, Massachusetts playing original and traditional blues with hints of jazz, soul, funk and tent revival gospel since 1999. Now playing at The Muse, Brecon this June!

Theatr Wildcats
What connects us all? Why are we drawn to Wales? What is the true meaning of Hiraeth? Follow Nia and Rhys, two teenagers as they explore their heritage through Welsh myths and legends to find a connection. Gwent Chamber Orchestra: 50th Anniversary Concert
Celebrating 50 years since the formation of Gwent Chamber Orchestra. The pianist Huw Watkins will be performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 19 in F Major, k459. They will also be performing two pieces played at the very first performance - Elgar’s Serenade for Strings and Schubert’s Symphony No 5 in B flat Major.

Young Music Promoters Present: Lily Webbe
The Young Music Promoters Events are created by 11-18 year olds, audiences of any age are welcome to come along to the gig nights. Lily Webbe performs at Theatr Brycheiniog this June.

Brecon Jazz Club presents the Alex Clarke Trio
Alex Clarke is a terrific tenor sax player who performed at Brecon Jazz 2023 to great acclaim as well as wowing jazz festival audiences near and far. Her powerful playing, straightahead style and imaginative soloing, have earned her top rank status across the country. Alex returns to Brecon, this time for a Club date, with stellar musicians, Adrian Thorne from Wales on double bass and UK star, Matt Holmes on drums.

Global Wave is the latest project from 'Iraqi-Welsh singer/violinist Azhaar Saffar. With their jazz funky world beats the band continue the tropical jazz sabor of that she is known for Global Wave have recently released their new EP ‘Song of the Quetzal’, The music composed by Azhaar after an encounter with these legendary birds on a mountain top in Costa Rica in 2020.
