Young Singers Award Final 2025

The Young Singer Award competition for the 2025 Brecon Choir Festival will be held in The Watton Church, Brecon at 4pm on Saturday, March 8th. There are four shortlisted candidates who will be singing three pieces each in front of the festival adjudicators, Adrian Partington & Liz Priday. Adrian Partington is Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral and conductor of the BBC National Chorus of Wales. Liz Priday is a specialist in Early and Baroque music. Liz has sung with the Monteverdi Choir, the Deller Consort and the Tallis Scholars and now enjoys passing on her expertise and enthusiasm to the next generation of singers.

The winner of the competition will be invited to sing at the Grand Concert of our 2025 festival in Brecon Cathedral on Saturday 19th July.​
