Valley Rock Voices is a dynamic women’s choir based in Neath, Wales, founded in 2016 by Cerys Llewellyn-Bevan. What began with 12 friends seeking solace and joy through music has blossomed into an ensemble of over 200 women, aged between 21 and 80. The choir’s repertoire is eclectic, featuring songs by artists such as the Bee Gees, The Killers, Katy Perry, Primal Scream, and even incorporating elements from rapper Stormzy. Beyond their musical endeavors, Valley Rock Voices has fostered a strong community spirit, giving rise to spin-off activities like walking and swimming groups, as well as various social and fundraising events. Under Cerys’s leadership, the choir has achieved significant milestones, including performing at Swansea Arena alongside entertainer Max Boyce. Valley Rock Voices exemplifies the unifying power of music, providing a supportive and empowering environment for women to connect, express themselves, and inspire others through their performances.
